EBONY FULANI is a passionate natural hair care specialist, educator, and the visionary founder of KnotJustBraids&Fades DBA The Queenie Institute of Natural Hair Care. With over a decade of hands-on experience, Ebony's journey began with a deep love for protecting and celebrating natural textures while learning to manage her own hair being that she is multiracial and natural hair in the mid 80's was hard to manage due to a lack of natural hair care products within the communities.  What started as a passion quickly grew into a purpose: to elevate natural hair care into a respected, professional path, along with making her own natural hair care products.  

Driven by a calling to empower others - especially Black women - to embrace and master the beauty of natural hair , Ebony created the Queenie Institute as a place of healing, education, and transformation.  Her school combines deep-rooted cultural knowledge with professional training, preparing students not just to style hair, but to grow hair, and  build thriving, heart-centered businesses.  

The Queenie Institute is more than a school - it's a movement toward ownership, excellence, and self-love through the art of natural hair care.  Ebony created the name of this school in remembrance of her grandmother Queenie Washington.  She raised Ebony and recently passed away before getting to see the finished product.
